"More Than Money Matters"
is an interactive money management series that starts with a foundation
of stewardship. The series
will be presented by Thrivent Financial representative John Martin,
Pastor Schwartz, and other lay leaders every Sunday morning at 9:15 from
January 8 through February 12 in the Family Life Center.
A continental breakfast will be served during the workshop.
Are you interested in learning or reviewing the primary teachings of the
Lutheran Church? Are you
interested in attending a Christian doctrine class that could lead to
membership in the Lutheran Church?
If so, then plan to attend the
Christian Essentials Class
that will meet in a Family Life Center classroom on Sunday mornings at
9:20. The class will run from
January 8 through March 11.
BEAUTY TIPS FOR THE CHRISTIAN PERSON
There is no beauty to compare with Christ, our beautiful Savior, who
crowns us with loving kindness.
In Him we are made beautiful, reflecting God's glory for others
to see. "Your beauty should
not come from outward adornment" instead, it should be that of your inner
self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of
great worth in God's sight."
1 Peter 3:3-4
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For beautiful eyes, look for the good in other people.
To lose weight, let go of stress, hatred, anger, discontentment and the
need to control others.
To improve your ears, listen to the Word of God.
For poise, walk with knowledge and the Word of God.
To strengthen your arms, do something for someone else.
To strengthen your heart, forgive yourself and others.
For the ultimate in business, casual, or evening attire, put on the robe
of Christ. It fits like a
glove but allows room for growth.
Best of all, it never goes out of style and is appropriate for
any occasion.
