Upward Basketball

What is Upward Basketball?
 

Upward Basketball is a sports ministry for kindergarten through sixth grade boys and girls that promotes character and self-esteem, and, most importantly, connects both children and adults to Jesus Christ. Currently, we offer basketball and cheerleading. 

Upward provides opportunities for volunteers from all walks of life to become meaningfully involved in the ministry of our church. There are opportunities to pray for the program, coach a team, referee a game, share a devotion and develop relationships in order to open avenues of ministry to the people in our community.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Basketball early registration cost is $80; after October 10, the cost is $90.

Deadline for registration is October 17.
* Basketball shorts are included in the player kit.

EVALUATIONS AND ORIENTATIONS:
Everyone must attend one basketball orientation at the location in which you wish to play.

Saturday, October 17, and Saturday, October 24
Kindergarten Boys/Girls, between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
1st and 2nd Grade Boys/Girls, between 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
3rd and 4th Grade Boys/Girls, between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
5th and 6th Grade Boys/Girls, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

LEAGUE SCHEDULE:
Practices Begin - Monday, November 16, 2009
First Game - Saturday, January 9, 2010
Last Game - Saturday, February 27, 2010
Awards Celebration - Sunday, February 28, 2010
