VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL continues 9:00 – 12:00 until Friday, July 30th.

NO SUNDAY SCHOOL, SUNDAY, AUGUST 1ST. We will have adult Bible Class.

Special Voters’ Meeting – Earlier this year we conducted a test where we held the contemporary worship service in our main sanctuary. How did it go? What was the feedback? What will we do next? You are invited to a special Informational Meeting THIS Sunday, August 1st, at 6:00 p.m. At this meeting you will hear about the trial, the feedback, possibilities for improving our sanctuary, and about a proposed resolution that will be placed before the voters from the Elders and the Board of Directors. There will be time for discussion and questions. Then, we will have a Voters’ Meeting on Sunday, August 8th, at 6:00 p.m. to make a decision on the proposed resolution. Plan now to join us, and information will be coming your way on or before the date of the info meeting.

MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS COMING FOR THE BASEMENT AND UPSTAIRS CLASSROOMS – We will need your help. A company will be laying new flooring.  Counter tops will also be replaced in certain classrooms. Your help is needed to move things in and out of the preschool classrooms and the large common area before and after the renovations. There are a few heavy things, but it is mostly light preschool supplies. Because it will be done in phases, we have many opportunities for you to volunteer. The first scheduled date is Friday, July 30th at 1:00 pm (immediately after VBS decorations have been removed). The other dates are August 3, 4, 9 & 10 from 5:30 – 6:30. August 7 will be 8:30 – 11:30 (congregational work day). Contact Rick Chapman or Katherine Palmer if you have any questions. Watch for updates on the church or preschool website.

BLAZE Cornhole Tournament:
BLAZE is hosting our 2nd annual Cornhole Tournament to fundraise for trips next summer! The Tournament will take place on Saturday, August 28th from 1-5pm. The registration cost is $50 for a team of two, $30 for one person and $10 to spectate. Snacks, desserts, water, and pop will be provided! Cornhole boards will also be provided, however you are welcome to bring your own bags!

We will also have other yard games available to play during the tournament.
